£60,000 Awarded in Sustainable Travel Grant Funding Across Bournemouth & Dorset



We’re pleased to announce the successful applicants in the recent round of Bournemouth Borough Council and Dorset County Council Travel Grant Applications.  Between them they share £60,000 worth of Sustainable Travel Grant funding and are putting it to good use!

Bournemouth Borough Council Capital Grants Scheme:

Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – Purchase of Poole Bike equipment to encourage cycling for business travel
Bournemouth University – Lockers and locker equipment to encourage active travel
Hadland Care Group - Purchase of Poole Bike equipment to encourage cycling for business travel
Bournemouth Learning Centre – Conversion of a storage area into a cycle shelter to encourage cycle commuting
Organix - Purchase of Poole Bike equipment to encourage cycling for business travel
Yellow Buses – Refurbishment of shower/changing facilities to encourage active travel

Dorset County Council Travel Grants:

Portland Info Centre - printing visitor maps/info to encourage walking and cycling
Leatherbarrows – installation of a cycle shelter to encourage cycle commuting
Groveley Precision - changing facilities/shower to encourage active travel and an electric bike for business travel
Jarden Plastic Solutions  - Installation of a cycle shelter to encourage cycle commuting
Medisave – installation of a drying cabinet to encourage active travel
Locators Ltd -  3 electric car charging point to encourage a switch to electric vehicles
