The BTN is
pleased to announce a new grant application window has opened. It is
available to businesses in Bournemouth Airport Aviation Business Parks,
Dorchester, Ferndown Industrial Estate, Portland, Weymouth and Wimborne (funded through the Dorset LSTF).
Grants of up to £3000 are available and must be match funded. The deadline for bids is 22nd January.

Ideas for initiatives you could apply for funding for:
- Cycle parking
- Lockers, showers and drying cabinets for staff who walk/run/cycle to work
- Car parking alterations to create dedicated car share spaces
- Set up a reward scheme or loyalty card system for regular 'green travellers' (for example, collect stamps to earn credit for the staff canteen)
- Set up a minibus service, to shuttle staff from key locations (e.g. train stations) to work
- Purchase taster tickets for bus or train routes and offer them to staff to trial bus travel
- Hire a cycling instructor to run refresher cycle training sessions for staff and/or run a 'bike bus' from popular areas to highlight the best routes
- Purchase and install teleconferencing facilities and software to reduce business travel
- Produce a regular sustainable travel information newsletter, with information on how to travel to your site using sustainable transport
- Support to run year round events, such as Dr Bike clinics, journey planning advice, sustainable travel breakfasts, etc
- Set up a car share scheme for your employment site - private groups can be set up on carsharedorset.com to enable staff to find car share buddies within your organisation
- Bespoke "how to get there guides"
