Our second BTN Network Meeting was held on 26th March 2015 at Bournemouth University’s Landsdowne Campus. The invited audience of members from across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch discussed the opportunities and issues regarding promoting better travel choices to staff raised by a panel of speakers which included:
- Hannah Houghton, BTN Manager
- Richard Wintrip, Bournemouth University
- Helen Cookson, Organix
- Adrian Hale, Bournemouth Borough Council.
The event also included our inaugural awards ceremony in which all members were recognised for their efforts in travel plan implementation and received certificates. In addition for awards were also presented in recognition of travel action plan excellence, these were presented to:
- Business Travel Network Large Employer of the Year – Bournemouth University
- Business Travel Network SME Employer of the Year – Organix
- Travel Action Plan Initiative of the Year – Bournemouth and Christchurch NHS Trust
- Sustainable Travel Champion of the Year – Anna Frizzell from the RNLI.
